Recommendations from previous year and/or current charges:

The mission of the Institutional Effectiveness Committee is the development and monitoring of a comprehensive system of planning and evaluation at the University. The committee will advise in the development and review guidelines and procedures to evaluate educational effectiveness of each unit in the University.

Accomplishments:

1) review of institutional effectiveness portion of SACS report.

2) developed close working relationship with office of Vice President for academic affairs and with the department of institutional research.

3) SACS commendation for institutional effectiveness assessment and linkage to budget process.

Recommendations for the next year:

Regular monitoring of departmental effectiveness assessment process. Review of annual assessments from units as part of the BAPS process.
