Library Committee Meeting
August 8, 2005, 2:00pm
University Hall Room 124

Attendees: Dr. David Leaver, Dr. Jim Smith, Dr. Patricia Coberly, Ms. Gaye Cook, and Mr. Matthew Jones (SGA Representative).

Note: Dr. Joyce Bergin (Executive Committee representative and newly elected Library Committee chair was out-of-town to take classes).

Mr. Lee presided.

1. Ben expressed his appreciation to returning committee members and welcomed new committee members to the Library Committee.

2. The Library Committee elected Joyce Bergin as their chair for the 2005-2006 academic school year.

3. Ben asked the committee members to e-mail Joyce Bergin a schedule of available timesfor committee meetings.

4. Ben presented a brief report on the library budget. He will distribute copies of the library budget with departmental allocations, allocation formula and policies at the next committee meeting.

5. Ben plans to discuss current library business at the next committee meeting.

6. If a committee has a topic that they would like to present through a Faculty Forum, please contact Dick Nordquist.
