Recommendations from previous year and/or current charges:
- Recruit and retain minority students
- Recruit and retain minority faculty
Accomplishments:
- Held 8th Annual William Stokes Lecture in April. This was a joint program, in conjunction with the Faculty Development Committee.
- Met with Dr. Alan Scarboro to discuss the M.O.S. T. program.
Recommendations for 2003-2004:
- Work with Office of Minority Affairs in developing strategies to recruit and retain minority students
- Work in conjunction with the Faculty Development Committee to sponsor diversity workshops for faculty.
- Further facilitate diversity training by sponsoring workshops using the Mandala trained persons on the campus.
- Work with the Vice President/Dean of Faculty in developing strategies to recruit and retain minority faculty
- Provide assistance to the Vice President/Dean of Faculty in implementing
M.O.S. T. on the Armstrong campus.
- The current committee be kept intact for continuity of programming.
